The newsest RNRK bands from July have their songs now available. Rockstar Chickens, The Burning Birds (from Sellwood Community Center), and Spaghetti Lions (from Gateway Library), all have awesome tunes on the music page now. Check 'em out!

So far we have had some seriously sweet jams this summer! At the Belmont Library a dynamic big band came together called, Quicken It Up, and they wrote some super hits in under an hour! Check out their jams on at the top of the music page. Then another band came together at Sellwood Community Center, called Rockstar Chicken. Their tunes will be up real soon! Check 'em out!!

Alright everybody. Some super fun action this summer. Rock N Roll Kindy is back at the Multnomah County Libraries with two interactive shows so far. These library shows are a chance for kids to come out, make a super crazy onetime band, write a couple of tunes, and get them up on the RNRK website for some home downloading! Don't think we can pull it off? Just have a look at the music page and check some of the crazy cuts we rocked last summer! In libraries no less! SHHHHH!!! We're rockin' here!!

Also, RNRK does its first summer camp ever!! At Sellwood Community Center RNRK is doing two 2day camps, the first for 3-5 year olds, and the second for 6-12 year olds. We're gonna make some new smokin' hot bands!

Hi friends! Rock 'N' Roll Kindy is coming to two Portland Public Schools as an afterschool program this spring. Starting on Tuesday March 30th, RNRK will be at Sunnyside Environmental School from 3:05 to 4:05 every Tuesday and running for eight weeks. On Thursday April 1st RNRK starts up at Metropolitan Learning Center also from 3:05-4:05 every Thursday and running for eight weeks. Please call 503-729-5583 for more info or send us an email!

This fall we had three totally amazing bands cut some sweet cds and put on killer shows. Stinkin' Folks, Singing Dogs, and Trouble all had cd release parties that well and truly rocked. Check out their photos and listen to some of their hot trax on the the photo and music pages!

Rock 'N' Roll Kindy has two programs this winter, one at Metropolitan Learning Center in Portland and the other at Joyful Noise Child Development Center also in Portland. The program at MLC is and an 8 week after school program starting on January 12th and running through March 2nd.

Fall. Leaves are falling, breezes pick up, and it is a time to reflect on just how much you ROCK! The beginning of the fall campaign starts with a four week course at the Portland Children's Museum starting on Thursday, September 17th. Please call PCM to register. RNRK is also doing an after school program on Thursday afternoons at Bonny Slope Elementary starting on October 7th. Contact RNRK fo more info regarding programs. RNRK will also be returning to Multnomah County Libraries starting in November -- those dates will be posted soon.

WOW!! The Johnny Spiderman Chocolate Chip Band just totally tore up the Hollywood Library on July 15th. They wrote two amazing songs with flying spiders and flying popsicles, running skeletons and haggling horses and sharks. The band also rocked some classics and pretty much melted the faces off of all the adults in the room. Check out their tunes on the music page!

At the Northwest Library on July 7th, a group of young rockers got together to explode into space in a flash of brilliance. They called themselves Reading Rockstars and wrote a couple of amazing tunes. Have a listen to their sweet jams -- Robber Spider and Weirdo Caterpillar -- on the music page!
Worm Readers Pull Off Only Show With Aplomb

On Saturday, June 13th at the Belmont Library in SE Portland, the band Worm Readers came together and dissassembled in an instant, leaving behind two original tunes in its wake. It was a great crew with some rock solid song smarts, as evidenced by the two new cuts on the RNRK music page. Check 'em out!!

We had a great show at the Gresham Library! The band named itself "Rock 'N' Roll In My Head", and we sang heaps o' tunes. A couple of songs we sang, inclucing two we wrote, are available for listen and download in the music section of this old site. Check it out!!
In the smaller program Mo and the attending families will make a band, write a tune or two, record some classics and then we'll have some tunes available for download on the RNRK website. These shows are at the Belmont Library on June 13th; The Northwest Library on July 7th; and the Hollywood Library on July 15th. Check the calender for more details!

RNRK will be available starting in April at The Portland Children's Museum. We are doing two four week sessions, the first session starting on Thursday, April 16th, and the second starting on Thursday, May 14th. All classes are on Thursday, from 12:00-12:45. Hi Friends!
As winter rounds the bend for the final stretch, RNRK looks to spring for our new adventures. Currently we are sorting out the details of having RNRK classes at the Portland Children's Museum to start in mid April. RNRK is also sorting things with the Beaverton School District and the Multnomah County Library. So much afoot! So keep your eyes out or drop us a line if you'd like more info on where your kids can rock!
